VR certificate course for the effective management and supervision of companies
Aim
In our VR certificate program in 6 modules, a tried and tested integrated governance concept is presented and the necessary entrepreneurial and legal VR knowledge is conveyed.
After completing the CAS course, the participants should have the necessary skills to be able to exercise a board mandate in a Swiss stock corporation as a competent design and controlling board.

CAS Degree
The graduates of the VR certificate course are entitled to use the title of “VR CAS” after successfully completing the course.
Membership in VR Networks
After successfully completing the VR CAS, participants have the opportunity to become a member of the VR CAS alumni network and the Swiss Institute of Directors and to take part in one VR alumni and one VR network conference each year.

Module 1
The normative board function: Integrated corporate governance and legal framework
Module 2
The strategic board function: The board of directors as a member of the board of directors
Module 3
The financial board function: The board of directors as controlling council
Module 4
The personal board function: Targeted recruitment, assessment, rewarding and promotion of board members and management board
Module 5
The management board function: board and opportunity, risk and crisis management
Module 6
The communicative board function: meeting management, communication, governance of digitization and IT, success evaluation at board and management level.
Introduction to the “Socrates” methodology of applied governance research as well as accompanied mentoring of the VR audit thesis by governance representatives (the VR, the GL, the VR Secretariat and the shareholders) of the selected companies.
